1981-12-10 [[Jeff Chandler]] w rsc 13 (15) [[Eijiro Murata]], Sands Hotel, Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA - WBA. Referee: Vincent Rainone. After going close in their first encounter, Murata (117¾) was given another shot at Chandler (117¼), only this time the champion was his master in every department and by the end of the 12th round had his rival ready for the exit door. Dropped twice in the 13th after being hit by great right uppercuts, Murata, having got up for the second time, was staggering around on drunken legs when rescued by the referee on the 1.52 mark.
