1981-12-16 Katsuo Tokashiki w pts 15 Hwan-Jin Kim, Miyagi Sports Centre, Sendai, Japan - WBA. Referee: Waldemar Schmidt. Scorecards: 148-140, 149-139, 149-136. Forced to sweat off extra poundage, Kim (107½) lost his title when unable to match the challenger’s speed and slumped to a points defeat. Tokashiki (107¾), who set a fast pace right from the beginning and was expected to blow up in the later stages, surprised all by sticking to the job and winning with plenty in hand.
