1982-01-15 [[Sergio Palma]] w pts 15 [[Jorge Lujan]], Chateau Carreras Stadium, Cordoba, Argentina - WBA. Referee: Roberto Ramirez. Scorecards: 145-141, 143-139, 145-140. Forcing the fight from the start, Palma (121¼) was basically too strong for the spoiling Lujan (122) and the action became messy and bad tempered the more it went on. In the 12th round the referee deducted a point from Palma for alleged biting and then took one from Lujan in the 13th for use of the thumb. Although the challenger rallied on occasion, Palma was always busy and well deserved the win.
