Despite being dropped by a right cross in the third round, Kim (114½) ultimately had too much power for the upright Ishii (114¾). Down in the sixth from a double left hook and again in the seventh following a heavy right to the temple, the end came when a solid right cross sent the game challenger down in the eighth to be counted out on the 0.47 mark.
