1983-01-29 Davey Moore w co 4 (15) Gary Guiden, Bally’s Park Place Hotel, Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA - WBA. Referee: Vincent Rainone. Far too strong for his challenger, Moore (153¼) started briskly, punching away with both hands, and was looking for a quick finish before being pegged back at the end of the second. However, Moore was soon back on track in the third as he started to move with the jab, while Guiden (152) looked to get on the inside. With Moore upping the tempo, towards the end of the session a terrific right to the jaw jolted Guiden badly. The fourth saw the hardest fighting to date, both men landing well before two right uppercuts and a left hook sent Guiden down to be counted out in the act of rising on the 2.18 mark.
