1984-10-06 [[Lee Roy Murphy]] w rsc 14 (15) [[Marvin Camel]], Yellowstone Metrapark, Billings, Montana, USA - IBF. Referee: Dan Janjic. Defending the IBF belt for the first time, Camel (190) got his nose in front of Murphy (190) early on when opening the latter up with solid southpaw jabs and even when he was cut over the right eye in the fifth and dropped by a right to the head in the eighth he remained in control. Murphy was always dangerous, but with Camel ether riding or avoiding his big shots he went further behind before getting lucky in the 14th. After being caught in that session by a heavy right, Camel received another cut, this time over his left eye, and although leading the fight handily the doctor advised the referee to stop the fight during the interval.
