1985-03-30 [[Piet Crous]] w rsc 3 (15) [[Randy Stephens]], Super Bowl, Sun City, South Africa - WBA. Referee: Ismael Fernandez. Following a settling down period, the champion picked up the pace in the second round and in the third finally caught up with Stephens (188¼), landing heavy blows to the head. Ducking under the punches and under real pressure, Stephens suddenly found a big right to the head that dropped Crous (185¾) and stunned the crowd into silence. Even though the referee failed to take up the count he allowed Crous valuable breathing space and from thereon it became a slogging match. Both men were hurt, but after Stephens was caught heavily and appeared dazed the referee quickly terminated the contest with 38 seconds of the session remaining.
