1985-04-07 Min-Keun Oh w pts 15 Irving Mitchell, Kudok Gym, Pusan, South Korea - IBF. Referee: Yasujiro Fujimoto. Scorecards: 144-143, 144-143, 147-145. A close fight with not much between the two men, it was the champion’s more solid punches, especially to the body, from the fifth round on that was the deciding difference between the pair. The taller Mitchell (125¼) had made a good start with his better boxing keeping Oh (125¾) at bay with southpaw rights, but from then on there was much more close-quarter fighting, which suited the aggressive champion and impressed all three judges.
