1985-04-19 [[Julio Cesar Chavez]] w co 6 (12) [[Ruben Castillo]], Inglewood Forum, Los Angeles, California, USA - WBC. Referee: Carlos Padilla. The opening three rounds saw both men punching away solidly until the champion attained supremacy in the fourth as his blows had their desired effect and Castillo (130), now cut over the left eye, began to look as though there was no way back for him. By the fifth, Chavez (129½), going forward remorselessly, was building up a head of steam when landing accurate punches to head and body and was beginning to drive Castillo back. It was much of the same in the sixth as Castillo continued to be beaten up, and after being hammered non-stop, both up and down, he slumped to the canvas where he was counted out with just four seconds of the session remaining.
