1985-04-26 [[Jeff Fenech]] w rsc 9 (15) [[Satoshi Shingaki]], Hordern Pavilion, Sydney, Australia - IBF. Referee: Bruce McTavish. In control from the start, Fenech (117), who was making his seventh pro start in just 196 days, handled the southpaw champion easily. Fenech was giving Shingaki (117) a real beating when the referee decided that he had seen enough, calling it off with 17 seconds remaining in round nine. Although Shingaki had not been off his feet he had shown little more than a fighting heart and his protests at being not allowed to carry on were not taken seriously.
