In a big upset, the aggressive Chun (114¾) was dethroned by Pical (115), who knocked his man down twice with countering southpaw rights and lefts, the second occasion seeing the former counted out in the eighth round. Although Chun had fought back well from the first knockdown, it was merely a matter of time before he got caught again and that Indonesia would have its first ever world champion.
