1985-05-04 Daniel Zaragoza w disq 7 (12) Fred Jackson, Concord Hotel, Oranjestad, Aruba, DWI - WBC. Referee: Waldemar Schmidt. Fighting for the title taken away from Alberto Davila, Zaragoza (117¾) became the new champion at 1.30 of the seventh round when Jackson (118) was thrown out for a flagrant butt. Jackson, who was ahead on the scorecards when he was disqualified, had fought a rough fight to bust up the Mexican but had persistently been warned for infringing the rules. For a man who had been disqualified for landing low blows against Harold Petty a couple of years earlier it should not have come as a surprise.
