Line 1: Line 1:
1985-12-10 J. B. Williamson w pts 12 Prince Mama Mohammed, Inglewood Forum, Los Angeles, California, USA - WBC. Referee: Marty Denkin. Scorecards: 116-112, 117-111, 117-111. Fighting to decide a new champion, Williamson (173) was a clear winner on all three cards, but lacked the power to finish his southpaw opponent off. There were no knockdowns and Mohammed (171½), who finished the fight cut over the left eye and badly swollen on the right, was indecisive and lacked the know-how required at that level. It was an easy night for Williamson, who both started and finished scoring with rights through the middle that Mohammed had no answer to.
