1986-06-01 Ji-Won Kim w co 2 (15) Rudy Casicas, The Gym, Inchon, South Korea - IBF. Referee: Wan-Suh Yuh. In a battle of lefties, Kim (122) quickly found himself on the canvas in the opening session as Casicas (120¾) unleashed a solid hook that shook him to his boots. However, undeterred, the champion came right back in the second round to floor Casicas with a one-two and although the latter got up and fought back well he was quickly belted to the canvas again to be counted out on the 1.35 mark.

Kim retired as undefeated IBF champion in November, an action that saw Seung-Hoon Lee matched against Prayurasak Muangsurin for the vacant title.
