1986-08-24 Buster Drayton w rsc 10 (15) Davey Moore, Pinede Open Air Arena, Juan Les Pins, France - IBF. Referee: Bobby Ferrera. Despite having had only two rounds of boxing in the last 20 months, it was Moore (154) who made the early running before the champion came to life in the third. That did not last long, however, and Drayton (154) was soon coasting as Moore put in all the better work right through to the seventh. In the eighth Drayton finally got his act together and began to hurt Moore with heavy rights, something he repeated in the ninth before wobbling the latter badly in the tenth. At that point Moore came apart at the seams. Although Moore tried to hit back it was Drayton who was landing the more meaningful punches, and with the challenger on the ropes and not fighting back the referee called the fight off at 1.15 of the session.
