Making his third defence, Chung (125¾) built up a good lead as he forced the fight before Rivera (126) hit back in the seventh with hurtful lefts and rights to take up the running. Subsequently it was all Rivera, and having taken a bad beating at 1.36 of the tenth Chung was pulled out by his corner. Both men were penalised in the sixth, Chung for holding and Rivera for pushing.
