1986-09-26 [[Hector Camacho]] w pts 12 [[Cornelius Boza-Edwards]], Abel Holtz Tennis Stadium, Miami Beach, Florida, USA - WBC. Referee: Ernest Magana. Scorecards: 118-109, 120-108, 116-112. Making a great start, the champion tore into Boza-Edwards (135) and floored him for ‘eight’ with a right hook following a barrage of punches. Despite being forced to take further solid blows by the end of the first round Boza-Edwards was hitting back, but although he landed the occasional heavy shot during the remainder of the contest he was unable to catch up with Camacho (135), who was always one move ahead of him. Although one of the judges saw the fight differently to the other two, there was no doubt that Camacho used the right tactics against the hard-hitting Boza-Edwards, who although somewhat pedestrian was a dangerous opponent.
