1986-10-25 [[Ricky Parkey]] w rsc 10 (15) [[Lee Roy Murphy]], Sports Palace, Marsala, Italy - IBF. Referee: Frank Cappuccino. Coming to the ring as a big outsider, the challenger soon showed his mettle when taking the fight to Murphy (190) from the start, beating him the punch time and again. The signs that Murphy was going to have a tough night were there for all to see, especially when Parkey (190) continually caught him with rights over the top and left hooks to the body, and in the seventh a long right to the head had the champion over. Although it looked as though Murphy was getting back into the fight following that shock, doing well in the eighth and ninth rounds, he was put down again in the tenth and despite getting back into the fray, with five seconds of the session remaining he was rescued by the referee after being blasted on to the ring apron.
