1987-01-16 Louie Espinoza w rsc 4 (15) Tommy Valoy, Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum, Phoenix, Arizona, USA - WBA. Referee: Enzo Montero. Fighting for the title stripped from Victor Callejas, both men quickly got down to business with Valoy’s power threatening Espinoza (121) who refused to be overwhelmed and met his rival with solid left jabs and heavy rights. Amid great excitement, Valoy (120¾) was dropped by a great right hand in the fourth round and on getting up he was battered around the ring until rescued by the referee at 1.52 of the session.
