1987-02-21 Bobby Czyz w co 2 (15) Willie Edwards, Trump Plaza Hotel, Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA - IBF. Referee: Rudy Battle. Having retained his title in double-quick time some seven weeks earlier, Czyz (174¼) went all out to finish off Edwards (175) in the same manner, but he was the one who was floored at the end of the round and saved by the bell. A moment earlier, heads had clashed and Czyz had been cut on the left eye. Both men came out quickly for the second and before too long Edwards was cut above the right eye. Charging in to Edwards, who was now in disarray, Czyz let the punches roll and after backing the challenger into his own corner a tremendous right to the head sent him crashing to the floor to be counted out at 2.16 of the session.
