The challenger never really found his rhythm in this one, apart from staggering Lee (121¾) with a couple of heavy rights in the second round, and was tagged with jabs and beaten to the punch throughout. Halfway through the fifth, having shaken Collins (121) up with a left-right to the head, Lee dropped his rival heavily after connecting with three more combinations, and unable to rise the Filipino was counted out. Collins finished up with cuts over both eyes and head wounds necessitating 30 stitches.
