1987-09-05 Chang-Ho Choi w co 11 (15) Dodie Penalosa, The Metro, Manila, Philippines - IBF. Referee: Bruce McTavish. Way behind on points and cut over the left eye, Choi (111½) lacked the speed to keep the southpaw champion at bay for long and was constantly under pressure. Amazingly, in the 11th, the desperate challenger cut loose to back Penalosa (111) against the ropes and badly damage his right eye before putting him down with a sharp left hook. Unable to recover in time, Penalosa was counted out on one knee with 2.07 of the round gone.
