Aged 18 and a half, Ioka (104), the Japanese champion at the weight, became Japan’s youngest ever world champion when he collected a unanimous points verdict over Thailand’s top ranked Thomburifarm (104½) to land the WBC’s inaugural mini-flyweight title.
