27 November Miguel Lora w pts 12 Ray Minus, Convention Centre, Miami, Florida, USA - WBC. Referee: Richard Steele. Scorecards: 117-110, 118-111, 120-116. Having been the champion’s former sparring partner, Minus (118), who was knocked over by a right in the sixth round, did not do nearly enough work to be in contention, finding Lora (118) just too skilful, too strong, and too much of a puncher for him. Minus was game enough, but it was hardly competitive for a title fight.
