Although Ioka (104¾) floored Kiatwanchai (104¼) with a left hook in the first round, the tough southpaw fought on aggressively and was right back in the contest when, in the final session and on the verge of stopping the champion, the bell rang 32 seconds too early. Following that, an early return was ordered by the WBC.
