Despite putting the champion down in the fourth, Uchida (114¾) was was finally overwhelmed in the fifth round. Always running second best to Roman (115), Uchida was put down from combination punches at the start of the session. When Uchida was dumped again, this time by a left hook, the referee wisely called it off after 39 seconds when he was in the act of rising.
