1989-02-05 Mark Breland w rsc 1 Seung-Soon Lee, Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - WBA. Referee: Richard Steele. Contesting the title vacated by Tomas Molinares, Breland (147) and Lee (146) quickly got down to business as the latter made the early running with wild swinging lefts and rights and forced the former champion to hit back. Standing four-and-a-half inches taller than his opponent Breland had been expecting to work with the jab, but because of the intensity of the early action he opened up with a left-right-left to drop Lee and although the latter got up he was soon reeling from another bombardment of blows before being stopped after just 54 seconds.
