Having decided to take control from the opening bell, the southpaw champion immediately got down to business with the jab, but it was still quite a shock when he stepped in with a left after Kalambay (159) fell short and dropped his rival heavily. Although Kalambay, who had failed to land a punch, was on his feet just after the count had ended that was it and Nunn (160) was declared the winner after just 80 seconds of action.
