1989-04-08 Khaosai Galaxy w pts 12 Kenji Matsumura, Bunka Gym, Yokohama, Japan - WBA. Referee: Carlos Berrocal. Scorecards: 117-111, 115-112, 116-112. Making his tenth successful defence, Galaxy (114), despite being cut over the right eye after a head clash in the third round, was too powerful for Matsumura (115) and floored his rival in the tenth on his way to a points win. However, it was not all one-way traffic as Matsumura presented the champion with plenty of problems, especially with right-hand counters.
