1989-04-22 Michael Moorer w rsc 1 Freddie Delgado, Auburn Hills Palace, Detroit, Michigan, USA - WBO. Referee: Bobby Watson. Trying to unsettle Moorer (171), Deldado (171) came out throwing wild blows, some of them low, but was made to pay when the southpaw champion almost smashed him out of the ring, an action that enforced a standing count. Badly shaken, Delgado tried to fight back before he was dumped by a right-left that left to him taking another the mandatory ‘eight’ count. There was no way that Moorer was going to let this one slip and he was battered Delgado without reply when the referee stopped the contest after just 66 seconds.
