1989-07-29 [[Khaosai Galaxy]] w rsc 10 [[Alberto Castro]], Srinarong Stadium, Surin, Thailand - WBA. Referee: Bernie Soto. This was no one-sided affair, with Castro (114½) giving Galaxy (115) a torrid time of it, cutting the champion over the left eye and flooring him in the second round only to find his rival unbending. In fact, Galaxy seemed to get stronger the longer the fight went on, and the end came in the tenth session when Castro, with nothing left in the tank, turned away to leave the referee with no alternative other than stopping the contest.
