1989-09-01 Daniel Zaragoza w rsc 10 Frankie Duarte, Great Western Forum, Los Angeles, California, USA - WBC. Referee: James Jen-Kin. In what turned out to be a mismatch, Zaragoza (121) used his challenger, who was cut over the left eye in the third, as target practice and often scored southpaw rights and lefts at will. Although Duarte (121¼) came back into it in the sixth and seventh rounds, following that it was apparent that he was a shot fighter, and after being on the end of a consistent hammering at 1.54 of the tenth the referee called the contest off to save him from further punishment.
