1989-10-07 Juan Molina w rsc 10 Tony Lopez, Arco Arena, Sacramento, California, USA - IBF. Referee: James Jen-Kin. Dominating and busting up the champion, Molina (129½) gained revenge for his earlier loss against Lopez (130), a defeat that had left a bad taste in the mouth. Although there were no knockdowns, Molina consistently beat Lopez to the punch and countered with such accuracy that the latter had both eyes severely damaged by the end of the fifth. By the seventh Lopez was fading fast, his attacks coming to nothing, and when his head was jabbed back and forth in the tenth the referee had seen enough and ended the contest with 59 seconds of the session left.
