Challenging for the title, Espinosa made a very quick start, catching Galaxy with three solid left hands in the opening minute before the latter toppled over from a delayed reaction, his head bouncing off the bottom rope. Despite the blows not appearing hard enough to cause such damage, the referee immediately called a halt in order for the ringside medics to attend the shocked Galaxy, who later explained that he had blacked out.
