1989-10-24 Virgil Hill w rsc 1 James Kinchen, Civic Centre, Bismark, North Dakota, USA - WBA. Referee: Billy Yohan. After making the challenger miss right at the start of the contest, Hill (175) got down to work quickly and precisely with big left hooks to shake his rival up. Caught cold, Kinchen (174) was hit from both hands as Hill opened up with powerful blows and on being dropped he rolled on to the ring apron. Although getting himself upright, Kinchen was still badly dazed and the referee had no hesitation in stopping the fight with just eight seconds of the opening session remaining.
