1989-12-15 Manning Galloway w pts 12 Al Hamza (Veabro Boykin), The Coliseum, Yabucoa, Puerto Rico - WBO. Fighting for the title vacated by Genaro Leon it did not take Galloway long to impress himself on Hamza, who was fooled by the southpaw style and was a sucker for the straight left. Moving well, Galloway often stepped inside with quick punches to take his man by surprise and won going away on the cards.
