1990-02-04 Jorge Paez w pts 12 Troy Dorsey, Hilton Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - IBF. Referee: Carlos Padilla. Scorecards: 114-113, 114-113, 113-115. Starting like a buzzsaw and finishing like one the challenger pressed Paez (126) throughout, and despite being floored in the second round by a hard left-right-left he could consider himself unlucky to lose. Having kept Paez pinned against the ropes for long periods Dorsey (126) never stopped working, especially to the body, but two judges surprised everybody by sticking with the quality of the champion’s punches even though he appeared to be out-hit at the rate of two to one.
