Showing distinct defensive improvement, Kitikasem (108) dominated from the third when he scored a knockdown, through to the ninth round, before tiring badly and letting Pohan (105½) back into the fight. From that point onwards, the challenger made the running when throwing plenty of straight punches, but was unable to make them pay and eventually ran out of ideas.
