1990-04-29 Myung-Woo Yuh w pts 12 Leo Gamez, Inter Continental Hotel, Seoul, South Korea - WBA. Referee: Larry Rozadilla. Scorecards: 116-113, 117-115, 116-114. Successfully defending the title for the 15th time, Yuh (108) overcame a difficult opponent in Gamez (107½), who proved to be the toughest nut to crack in the champion’s career. Because the champion’s best work was on the inside, with the challenger’s best punch being a right uppercut he was forced to box at range and had some difficulty in working out Gamez’s counter-punching technique before he could gain control of the proceedings.
