1990-06-10 [[Orlando Canizales]] w rsc 2 [[Paul Gonzales]], County Coliseum, El Paso, Texas, USA - IBF. Referee: Barry Yeats. Tearing into his rival from the opening bell, Canizales (118) quickly got down to business and a chopping right hander opened a bad gash over his challenger’s right eye. Coming out for the second, Gonzalez (117), a former Olympic champion, was soon in trouble with the eye and the referee had no alternative but to bring matters to a halt just 30 seconds into the session.
