1990-10-23 [[John David Jackson]] w pts 12 [[Chris Pyatt]], Granby Halls, Leicester, England - WBO. Referee: Ismael Quinones-Falu. Scorecards: 117-111, 118-109, 116-112. Boxing brilliantly, Jackson (154) made Pyatt (152¼) look a very ordinary challenger indeed as he made the latter’s punches miss while countering effectively with southpaw rights and lefts. The hard-punching Pyatt was always in with a chance, but Jackson was just too clever for him and in the 11th he even dropped the Englishman with a right-left. Whatever he tried, Pyatt had little success and although he stormed out for the last session with only a knockout win on his mind he just could not get to grips with Jackson, who sauntered home for a well deserved points win.
