1990-11-10 Jose De Jesus w rsc 7 Abdi Pohan, Senayan Stadium, Jakarta, Indonesia - WBO. Referee: Rudy Ortega. Quickly into his stride, the hard-hitting De Jesus (108) was far too good for the game Pohan (108), being all over his challenger when the referee called the fight off in the seventh to save the local man from taking further punishment. Pohan, who had been down in the second, third and fourth rounds, and was badly cut, was totally outclassed by the Puerto Rican and was not hitting back when the referee came to his rescue.

After De Jesus forfeited his WBO version of the title in May 1992 due to inactivity, Josue Camacho and Eddie Vallejo were matched to find a new champion.
