Although Gamez (107¾) started aggressively, throwing powerful right hooks and uppercuts, Yuh (107½) boxed well within himself, with left jabs and good footwork keeping him out of trouble. As the fight progressed the champion moved up a few gears, throwing superb combinations, and got himself clearly in the driving seat. In the 12th round, powerful straight rights and left uppercuts had Gamez groggy, but he lasted to hear the bell.
