1990-12-08 Magne Havnaa w pts 12 Daniel Neto, Congress & Culture Centre, Aalborg, Denmark - WBO. Referee: Bill Connors. Scorecards: 119-109, 120-108, 119-109. Dominating the contest with solid jabs and hooks, the champion won every round going away despite being cut on his left eye at the start, and was far too good for the limited Neto (190). In fact, Havnaa (190) was a class above his man, who showed little aggression and seemed happy to cover up apart from in the latter rounds when he realised that he needed a kayo to win. An excellent boxer, the only disappointment for Havnaa’s fans was his lack of a knockout punch.
