1991-01-19 [[Luis Enrique Mendoza]] w rsc 8 [[Noree Jockygym]], Panthip Plaza, Bangkok, Thailand - WBA. Referee: Bernie Soto. In complete control from the start, Mendoza (121) had already imposed his will on the challenger in the earlier rounds before really getting down to business in the eighth. Caught by an overarm right to the jaw and left hooks to head and body, Jockygym (122) crashed to the canvas from where he was lucky to beat the count. On getting up the Thai was met by a barrage of punches before being dropped again and rescued by the referee, who did not bother to pick up the count. The finish was timed at 2.10.
