1991-02-15 [[Magne Havnaa]] w pts 12 [[Tyrone Booze]], Sports Hall, Randers, Denmark - WBO. Referee: Ismael Quinones-Falu. Scorecards: 116-115, 117-113, 114-115. This was a difficult fight for Havnaa (190) and he even had to get off the floor in the 11th round after Booze (186¼) had caught him with a terrific right uppercut to the jaw. The left jab was the champion’s best weapon and he used it well, but whenever Booze was able to get inside it he would pound the body and get the uppercut off whenever he could. Booze’s defence was also good and it was probably Havnaa’s big effort in the final session, despite being tired, that gave him the win. Havnaa relinquished the WBO version of the title in February 1992 due to increasing weight problems.

Following Havnaa’s decision to relinquish the WBO version of the title in February 1992 due to increasing weight problems, it was thought that Derek Angol would be meeting Yuri Vaulin to contest the vacant title. However, a change of management held things up and eventually Angol was matched against Tyrone Booze.
