Having to lose ten pounds in four days left Pascua (107¾) drained, and although he was in the fight for quite a while the challenger’s punches began to get to him after the halfway stage. From the eighth onwards, though, Pascua shifted a fair amount of punishment, and having taken a big right hand to the jaw he turned his back on Cob Castro (107¾), retiring himself at 1.59 of the tenth round.
