1991-06-01 Terry Norris w co 8 Don Curry, Radisson Resort, Palm Springs, California, USA - WBC. Referee: Chuck Hassett. Having won every round coming into the sixth, the champion had outspeeded and outpunched Curry (154) and had taken the best the latter had to offer almost nonchalantly. He was also ready to step up a gear. Shrugging off Curry’s best punch of the fight, a cracking left hook, Norris (151) went to work in the seventh and the former champion was saved by the bell after being dropped by a long right hand. Although fighting back gamely in the eighth it was clear that Curry’s days were numbered and following a barrage of two-fisted blows and three crashing right hands to the head he went down to be counted out with seven seconds of the session remaining.
