1991-06-14 Daniel Zaragoza w pts 12 Kiyoshi Hatanaka, Rainbow Hall, Nagoya, Japan - WBC. Referee: Malcolm Bulner. Scorecards: 117-110, 116-112, 113-115. Hatanaka (122) started well enough, his combinations keeping the former champion backed up, but once Zaragoza (121¾) began to trade in the fourth, opening up a cut over his rival’s left eye, the fight began to turn. From then on it was Zaragoza who initiated most of the exchanges, which influenced two of the judges, and also produced the better work with southpaw one-twos supported by heavy hooks.
