1991-06-15 [[Welcome Ncita]] w pts 12 [[Hurley Snead]], Hemisphere Arena, San Antonio, Texas, USA - IBF. Referee: Robert Gonzalez. Scorecards: 117-111, 117-110, 118-109. Having come through pre-fight worries over cataract problems, Snead (119¼) found Ncita (121¾) far too quick and sharp for him as he went behind on the cards, round after round, and it was only in the last two sessions when the champion was carrying a badly swollen left cheekbone and tiring rapidly that he got into the fight. Snead, who was knocked down by a right uppercut in the third and cut on the left eye in the fifth, did far better than expected but lacked the power and accuracy to cause an upset.
